SAT (Scholastic Apptitute Test)
The Scholastic Apptitute Test is a mandatory test for students who wish to gain admission to Bachelor’s programs in the USA. The SAT is classified into two:
The SAT Reasoning Test (formerly SAT I)
The SAT Subject Test (formerly SAT II)
Students planning to take admission to US Universities in the year 2006 will undertake the SAT tests with a new format.
The new SAT I will contain 3 sections: Critical Reading, Writing, and Mathematics.
The Writing section
The writing section will measure the test takers ability to organize and structure the essay, ability to express his/her opinion lucidly and language usage.

The Critical Reading Section (formerly known as ‘Verbal’ section)
The Critical Reading Section measures sentence completion and passage reading abilities of the test taker.

The Mathematics Section

Subject Tests
Subject Tests will measure the test takers knowledge and skills in particular subject areas, as well as your ability to apply that knowledge.
Students take the Subject Tests to demonstrate to colleges their mastery of specific subjects like English, history, mathematics, science, and language. There are 18 subjects in all.

Five tests are conducted in India every year. The next two tests are on 7thMay and June 4th2005, which offers both Reasoning and Subject Tests.
SAT scores will be reported to four universities/colleges with the fees paid (as above). For any additional reporting, $ 9 is payable.

Step 1: Obtain the “SAT Information Bulletin” available free with USEFI offices or from College Board website.
Step 2: Fill in the form, pay by DD and use the envelope provided with the form to mail these to:
